It’s time to have a vacation! Don’t be sorry about hot summer days, passed by, when we could swim, sun-bathe, sit around the fire with friends on the bank of the river Katun. Altai is marvelous in winter as well as in summer. It seems the great Russian poet said precisely about this magic place:
      All this delights of nature you can see with your own eyes, take a deep breath of fresh frosty air, feel yourself as a part of this magnificence. If you visit Gorny Altai once in winter you would like to come back here again and again. You can just enjoy your leisure time, beholding the nature, but you’d better have outdoor activities. So your way is to THE RESORT OF WINTER RECREATIONS «GORA VESYOLAYA».
     The resort is intended for family vacations. If you wish you can get to the top of the mountain Vesyolaya. The drag lift will whisk you to the top of the hill for 4 minutes 10 seconds. During this period of time you pass 500 meters long and 150 meters high. Every person who loves nature is fascinated by the view from the top.
     Going skiing downhill makes you feel flying as a bird. By the way ski trails are lighted up and prepared for night skiing. The descent from the mountain in conjunction with slopes from 25 to 45 degrees let you choose an optimal route depending on your style of skiing. If you are not good at skiing we invite you to visit »GORA VESYOLAYA» on weekends. Experienced coach will help you to make it good. 
     There is a sled lift on the separate slope of the mountain. It is for lifting sleds, snowmobiles, and snowglides. It’s a real extreme sport. This slope of the mountain is only for strong-willed. But also you can choose gently sloping descent. Sled trails are intended only for adults and children with parents.
     Icy sliding hill is the spark of the resort. The icy sliding hill is about 100 meters length and 12 meters height. It has several turns, which turn into vertical line. Sliding is a real pleasure for everybody: parents, children, even for grandmas and grandpas (if they will try to relive their youth).
     After outdoor activities you can have a rest inside to watch TV, drink a cup of tea. If you are hungry, you are offered to have a dinner in a cosy coffee.
     You can rent ski equipment, balloons for sliding.
     There are also two ways to reach the resort: 1) From Biysk through Chuysky highway to suspension bridge, which is 30 km from Mayma village. Then your route is through the bridge passing by Katun village to Aya village.
     2) The second way: Going by bus. The route: Biysk – Sovetskoe village – Altayskoe village – Aya village – Gorno-Altaisk. This route is about 50 km further, but let you see rare places. You can`t miss the opportunity to watch scenic and amazing views.
